Role Purpose:

The director is responsible for coordinating departmental activities, technologist staff and scheduling, and is responsible for the development, interpretation and application of departmental policies and procedures, the budget, long range plans and yearly goals and objectives of the department for St. Clare Hospital and Dean Clinic. The Director provides input into the purchasing of equipment and the servicing of equipment, coordinates Quality Control and ordering supplies. Leads in Performance Improvement activities.


Skills Required:


  • Two to five years of supervisory experience, current knowledge and prior experience in ACR, JCAHO, Federal and State laws or regulations, which govern the hospital and Medical Imaging Good interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership, performance improvement, coordination of operations of technical and office support functions and staff.
  • Knowledge and experience in budget preparation, financial management, and accreditation requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Medical Imaging, proven leadership and exceptional communication skills with physicians, medical directors and customers.
  • Knowledge of CQI principles




Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology (two or three year program)
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Must have a bachelor s degree in related field.
  • Two to five years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master s Degree in Business Administration or other related field preferred.
